About Harvest Home Stores
Craig Miller opened Harvest Home Stores in San Francisco in 1991 with a thorough background in every facet of the furniture business.

Prior to opening Harvest Home Stores, Craig was surprised to discover that few furniture stores offered style, quality, value and service. Most furniture stores offered either style with a high price tag or had an outdated or poor quality product selection at a promotional price. Convinced that he could do better, Craig traveled the U.S., and acquired quality furniture from small manufacturers, which he finished and delivered himself after business hours. By building strong relationships with his vendors, Craig was soon able to offer custom-built and custom-finished American furnishings at a very competitive price. Repeat and referral business came naturally and Harvest Home Stores developed a sizeable, loyal clientele.

Given the growing popularity of Harvest Home Stores, Craig joined forces with his partner Karsten Iwers in 1993. Karsten brought strong organizational and managerial skills to the company and assumed responsibility for the retail, customer service, and operations facets of the business. With a strong commitment to operational efficiencies and the highest standards of quality and customer service, Karsten built a strong management, sales, and logistics team that ranks customer needs and expectations as its top priority.

Over a period of twelve years, Craig and Karsten defined the concept of the company and built a five-location chain with about fifty employees, a central distribution and quality control center, in-house delivery service, and central headquarters in San Francisco. Today, Craig and Karsten continue to advance their concept and improve their operations and service in order to meet the high standards of their discerning customers in the ever-changing furniture and home décor industry.
